The Dalton Synthetic Wax Series includes two products, S760 and MS861, which are synthetic alkanes waxes. They provide a differentiated paste structure solution for the formulation and belong to the Dalton Structural Shaping Module.
S760 is a granular hard synthetic alkane with high saturation. It has a matte texture and outstanding grease absorption capacity. It can be used as an efficient modifier for ointments and lipsticks, enhancing the shaping and oil-locking capabilities of the cream.
MS861 is produced through high-purity Fischer-Tropsch synthesis of alkanes, distinct from ordinary petroleum wax. Through precise distillation, it achieves a highly concentrated carbon number and uniform crystallization. The straight-chain carbon structure forms the framework and locks in the oil, while the trace isomer structure gives flexibility, achieving the unique characteristics of being hard but not brittle, soft but not collapsed. A small amount can bind a large amount of liquid oil, easily creating a potato-mash texture; at the same time, it improves the stability of the formula in a wide temperature range of -15℃ to 50℃, with fast facial melting, low wax sensation, no interference with emulsification and rinsing performance, simplifying the formula, optimizing the skin feel and controlling costs.
The two synthetic waxes can be well combined with Dalton's six skin sensation platform oils, film-forming agents, pearlescent alkanes, and microcrystalline waxes, and are widely used in lipsticks, ointments, solid cosmetics and other products, meeting the development needs of various textures such as matte and potato-mash.
